After much deliberation, and after looking into several options that would allow us to comply with the current Covid-19 restrictions, it is with heavy hearts that we have decided to postpone the 2020 Madison County Arts Festival until 2021.
Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, October 2, 2021 as locals and visitors gather to celebrate Madison County’s rich arts heritage. Located in the picturesque town of Mars Hill and the Mars Hill University campus, the annual family-friendly festival features 60+ local handmade arts and crafts, a variety of home-baked goodies, and a large selection of food options.
The Bascom Lamar Lunsford Festival, which is also postponed until 2021, takes place on the same day adjacent to the Madison Heritage Arts Festival. This event is the second oldest folk festival in Western North Carolina and brings out the region’s finest musicians and dancers.
Mars Hill is located just 20 miles north of Asheville.
